TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH

Our translational research activities are creating new ways to improve vision outcomes for people whose sight is affected by refractive errors - myopia, presbyopia, hyperopia and astigmatism - which collectively impair the vision of billions of people worldwide.

We are developing optical devices and researching other treatments and preventative measures to reduce the burden of myopia. Our innovative solutions for presbyopia include contact lenses, intraocular lenses and development of a breakthrough ‘accommodating gel’. We are working on a novel comfort agent to treat 'dry eye' and improve the contact lens experience of millions of wearers.

We are flexible in how we conduct research and collaborate with partners to create new, and improve existing, commercial products. Including through co-development, licensing, strategic partnerships and fee-for-service work.
