Aboriginal Vision Community Optometrist

Work Type: Full Time

Interested in Public Health?  the Institute is seeking a full-time optometrist to provide culturally appropriate eye care services to Aboriginal Communities working in rural and remote areas of NSW.  The applicant must be flexible to travel being away from Sydney at least 4-5 days every 2nd week and on the off week you must be prepared to travel  for 1, 2 or 3 day clinics. 
Work closely with our Project Administrator and Aboriginal Eye Health Workers in the field.  This is a fixed term position till 30 June 2019 with possibility of extension depending on funding, based in Sydney.

Writers and a Videographer WANTED!

Work Type: 100 hours per semester. Actual days and times are flexible.

The Brien Holden Vision Institute, an eye care NGO at UNSW, is looking for a small number of talented and motivated interns to work on the global campaign, Our Children’s Vision. This campaign is at the forefront of child eye health – ensuring millions of children receive the eye care they need to develop and thrive. Working with Our Children’s Vision is an excellent opportunity for students to hone their skills and develop a creative portfolio of work. The messages of Our Children’s Vision reach a global, diverse audience.

Writer (one internship placement available)
A creative writer is required to draft engaging articles from existing scientific research papers, patient interviews and relevant video content. Those interested check out our blog here
